A BENEFIT OF THE BIENVENIDO FUND*

ICEBOX Movie Screening:
Oscar is a 12-year-old Honduran kidnapped and tattooed by a gang. He refuses to join, and his parents send him to the U.S. to save his life. The Border Patrol arrests  him in the desert and puts him in a freezing ICE children's jail. Through Oscar we experience the loneliness, fear and confusion of a child seeking asylum The film makes it personal and raises many questions about U.S. immigration law.

Saturday April 8 and Wednesday April 12 at 7:00 p.m.

Stray Cat Theatre
1662 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64108

*The Bienvenido Fund helps immigrants in need with costly fees charged by USCIS for them to regularize their status. Since 2021, working with immigration attorneys, we have donated over $8,600 to ten unaccompanied minors and families including victims of trafficking. We've helped them with work permits, DACA renewal, family reunification, permanent residency and other costly fees that often block immigrants' ability to regularize their status. Many more need help.
